Goa No Limits bother!!!

images-6Surprise, surprise … when yesterday I wanted to post our new article on the Goan groups in which “Goa No Limits” is a subscriber to see that we have been banned and we have even been reported on Facebook that has blocked one of our account!

Thank you to all these groups, we will not mention, because they really not worth it because you confortez us in our determination to continue this blog and contrary to what you hoped for we come away even stronger and resolved! The most false pretexts are discussed and all the cheap shots seem to be allowed. But “The droll of the toad will not reach the white dove” and “the dog barks but the caravan moves” (French proverbs) …

Thank you to all others groups who understood our approach and continue to give unto us the word.

“Goa No Limits” will continue to give you outstanding addresses, whether it be restaurant, hotels, shops, tips for recycling and many other things.

“Goa No Limits” starts to truly buzz on the Internet and it bothers!

Goa No Limits dérange !!!

Child Rescue : El Shaddai

We visited Tuesday two of the three houses belonging to El shaddai located in Assagao. Shekinah House, founded in 1997, occupies about fifty boys and Rainbow House, a donation made in 2001 by Mr. Andreas Toscano, where live forty girls aged 7 to 15 years.
It is more than 5 PM when we arrive at Shekinah House. Boys coming back from the school play in the garden. We then go to Rainbow house, the same atmosphere cheerful and full of laughter reign in the community. Soon the girls will leave their games or spots to go do their homework.
The children are supervised by social workers who care for them by giving them the education, the attention and the affection they need.
El Shaddai is a charitable organization founded in 1997 by Anita Edgar and Matthew Kurian.
El Shaddai Charitable Trust is set up to help: orphans, street and Slum’s children, children coming from economically desperate backgrounds, children whose parents suffer from terminal illness/disease, children living in high-risk environment, children of underprivileged migrants, runaways, terminally ill children, families living below poverty line, children of commercial sex workers, children coming from schedule castes and tribes, children whose parents are in prison. El Shaddai helps also women and childhealthcare, support and counselling.

How to help El Shaddai?
You can do like Eva, our photographer, who sponsor a child. It costs between £25 / $40 / €30 every month to sponsor a child which includes food, clothing, shelter, education and medicine. But there are other ways to help these children. For more informations, go to their website : http://www.childrescue.net/

———————————————————————————

Goa Marathon

El Shaddai and Habitat for Humanity are associated to the second edition of the Marathon of Goa which was held last Sunday, March 3, 2013.
This charity event regulator funds to provide decent homes for children and families in need as well as educational centres for children in Goa and the Konkan region. There were many to slip their shoes to test their endurance and support this noble cause.
It was still dark at 6 o’clock in the morning when participants soar Campal Ground on the path along the Mandovi, Old Goa and back up on Campal Ground. The organization is perfect, the volunteers are scattered throughout the course to drink competitors, the police on charge of traffic begins to increase. Everything happens in joy and good humor. Kenyan professional runner Daniel Yegon, who won marathons in Pune, Hyderabad and Bombay, crossed the finish line after an hour and 10 minutes of running, closely followed by his two compatriots. The Indian army well represented remains as the 4th, 5th and 6th has crossed the finish line are part of its ranks.
The 5 km race started at 8:30, about 1,000 participants, including many children, rush on the path that will lead to hotel Mandovi and return Campal. The sun begins to heat up, we laugh, we breath, we run, we walk … and even if it does not cross the finish line first, it is important to participate.
So see you next year for a third marathon?
